ELC CLASSROOMS

At CCA’s Early Learning Center, we are committed to the health, safety and education of our students. Our dedicated teachers enjoy loving on and taking care of all the children entrusted to their care.

INFANTS & CRAWLERS

Our Infants room is designed for babies ages 6 weeks through 12 months. Our Crawlers room is designed for older infants ages 6 months through 12 months who are becoming more mobile, such as starting to or are already crawling. In both the Infants and Crawlers rooms we keep a 1:4 ratio.

An average day/week in these rooms includes fine/gross motor skills, sensory activities, tummy time, music, stories, introductions to letters and numbers, and art.

TRANSITION

With a 1:5 ratio, our Transition room is just the right size to help children transition from infancy to toddlerhood. This room is designed for children who turn one between September 1st – January 1st. Here they will learn to play independently alongside each other, sooth themselves to sleep, and feed themselves bite-sized solid foods.

An average day/week in these rooms includes fine/gross motor skills, sensory activities, word/sound recognition, music, stories, introductions to letters and numbers, and art.

TODDLERS (12-24 MONTHS)

This class is always on the move… exploring, playing, looking, and touching everything as their senses are still on high alert. At this age, play is work and a major form of learning.

An average day/week in this room includes fine/gross motor skills, sensory activities, daily routines, social concepts, music, stories, letters, colors, numbers, and art.

TODDLERS (2 YR OLDS)

As toddlers get older, they desire to become more independent. Because play is still a very important part of learning at this age, we will help foster their independence through teacher-led activities as well as free play. In addition to structured learning and free play students will also begin potty-training.

An average day/week in this room includes fine/gross motor skills, sensory activities, daily routines, social concepts, music, stories, letters, colors, numbers, shapes, and art.

PRESCHOOL (3 YR OLDS)

Our Threes are busy bees! They are always on the move learning, playing and having fun. This class uses the “Experience Early Learning” curriculum. It’s very hands-on and covers all the learning basics while also providing a monthly trait (e.g., kindness) and Bible lesson.

An average day/week in this room includes fine/gross motor skills, sensory activities, daily routines, social concepts, music, stories, letters, colors, numbers, shapes, and art.

PRE-K 4

In Pre-Kindergarten, we incorporate structure and routines to help students develop school behaviors that not only prepare them for Kindergarten but support a positive learning environment. Students receive learning through all areas of development: intellectual, language, physical, and social-emotional. We use “Pre-k Math; Abeka”, an integrated curriculum that focuses on all areas of learning.

An average day/week in this room includes fine/gross motor skills, sensory activities, daily routines, social concepts, music, stories, literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and art.
